St. Mary’s College of Maryland is planning $3.5 million in budget cuts next year, likely including furloughs, reduced pay raises and other hits throughout the campus, because it could not attract enough students to fill its freshman class for the next academic year.Some of the proposed cuts were outlined Wednesday at a campus meeting attended by more than 200 faculty, staff, students and others.
