UNO facing layoffs, staff reductions to deal with budget crunch - The Times-Picayune

Less than two years after implementing what he called "the most significant budget cuts" in the University of New Orleans' history, UNO President Peter Fos informed school employees Friday (Feb. 14) that another "reduction in personnel/staffing is required" to deal with the "fiscal crisis and current enrollment the University finds itself in." Specifics of how many jobs will be cut and in what areas were not immediately available, but in an email to employees, Fos said: "Within the next few weeks, the leadership will be identifying positions within the University that will be eliminated, thus causing a layoff of the incumbents." http://www.nola.com/education/index.ssf/2014/02/uno_facing_layoffs_staff_reduc.html
