Low-income students face brunt of budget cuts - Laura Blasey, the Diamondback

Johanna Perdomo has been watching the news. She’s read the stories. She’s asked for advice. Yet she’s still searching for answers to the financial difficulties sure to arise if Gov. Martin O’Malley’s proposed tuition increase passes the state General Assembly. “I don’t know how to deal with it,” the sophomore accounting and international business major said. O’Malley recently submitted the final budget plan for his final term in office.
