The Syllabus: A UNCG budget update - John Newsom, News-Record

Here's a little bit of news on the UNCG budget front. As you might recall, UNCG is looking at about $12.5 million worth of cuts to its 2014-15 budget. It might be less, depending on what the legislature does during the short session. It probably won't be more. Either way, it's not great news for UNCG. To put a possible $12.5 million budget cut into context, UNCG had to cut its budget by $4 million this year, and it trimmed 59 employee positions and 390 class sections. Yeah, ouch.
