The University of Maine at Augusta has announced their recommendations to fix a multi-million-dollar budget shortfall that’s impacting schools throughout the University of Maine System. A $36-million-dollar budget gap this coming fiscal year is forcing universities to make some tough decisions. UMA needs to trim $3 million. 24 jobs will most likely be eliminated, but only 10 of those are currently occupied. 30 others will have their hours cut.
