Eastern Illinois University trustees to talk budget - KARSTEN BURGSTAHLER, JG-TC

The largest cuts in EIU's FY 2016 budget come from personnel services. The budget gives a $3.6 million line item reduction along with $7.8 million of programmatic reductions. Paul McCann, interim vice president for business affairs, said the university has not identified where to make those programmatic cuts yet, but Information Technology, for example, may see some adjustments. "Certainly the immediate emphasis is on non-academic areas," McCann said. "But we will be moving into some of the academic areas just to make sure that we're doing things as well and as efficiently as we can." http://jg-tc.com/news/eastern-trustees-to-talk-budget/article_176e7e58-4d1c-541c-930c-a128296bf67a.html
