AACC enrollment drop follows state, national trend - Kelcie Pegher, Capital Gazette

A few years ago at Anne Arundel Community College, enrollment was booming. The recession was at its height, and older students were streaming in for certifications and degrees. In fiscal 2011, AACC's enrollment reached 11,098 full-time students. That was the peak. Since then, enrollment has been dropping steadily and in the fall is expected to be below what the school budgeted for this fiscal year — 9,106. Such declines are a state trend, with the exception of a few counties — two are Frederick and Prince George's — where community college enrollment remained flat over the last year or so. http://www.capitalgazette.com/news/schools/ph-ac-cn-aacc-0329-20150329,0,4986263.story
