Tucson, Pima County will suffer from budget cuts - Bruce Wheeler, Tucson Daily Star

The University of Arizona will lose $28 million next year — just the latest iteration in a pattern of disinvestment that UA President Ann Weaver Hart said has “been the solution of choice to Arizona’s budget challenges.” In the last eight fiscal years, enrollment in our state universities has increased by nearly 30,000 students while funding has been cut by more than $400 million.
