First a tuition hike, now layoffs at Sussex County Community College - Louis C. Hochman, NJ Advance Media

As Sussex County Community College continues to deal with hemorrhaging enrollment figures and the massive budget hole they're creating, it's laying off 11 staff members. The positions being eliminated include two assistant professors, one associate dean, three academic coordinators, one vice president, two associate directors, a web developer and a custodian, according to the school. Karen DiMaria, the school's vice president of institutional advancement, said the school in February identified a budget shortfall of about $1.2 million for Fiscal Year 2016, which begins in July. At the time, the school announced a tuition hike of nearly 10 percent to help make up some of the difference. http://www.nj.com/sussex-county/index.ssf/2015/05/first_a_tuition_hike_now_layoffs_at_sussex_county.html
