University Cuts Pose Threat, Opportunity For Payson - Pete Aleshire, Payson Roundup

Arizona cut support for universities deeper than any other state during the recession, triggering the steepest tuition hikes in the country, according to a just-released report from the national Center for Budget Priorities. #The cuts in state aid and the rise in tuition come just as the Rim Country Educational Alliance and Foundation have come up with the money to buy a 253-acre parcel to build a 6,000-student university in Payson, hopefully operated by Arizona State University. http://www.paysonroundup.com/news/2015/jun/10/university-cuts-pose-threat-opportunity-payson/
