UW-Stout chancellor: State aid cuts bring restructuring plan - Pamela Powers, Leader-Telegram

This fall UW-Stout officials will begin the challenge of restructuring the university’s four colleges in an effort to save money, UW-Stout Chancellor Bob Meyer said during his address Monday to kick off the new school year. The restructuring would save an estimated $360,000, he said, and would be part of a continued process to reduce expenditures, as the university will receive a combined $10.6 million less state aid this school year and next. That reduction is part of a $250 million cut to UW System schools the state Legislature included in the 2015-17 state budget.
