Carbondale Council has started budget conversation - Dustin Duncan, the Southern

Budget season is fast approaching for the Carbondale City Council, and pending state cuts and financial issues have city leaders already discussing what to do next year. On Tuesday, City Council talked about goals for the Fiscal Year 2017 budget at its regular meeting. There wasn’t an ordinance to vote on Tuesday. Mayor Mike Henry just wanted to get some ideas flowing around the council table. Councilman Adam Loos was a big advocate for improving what he called the quality of life, saying Carbondale is a college town, but it does look like one and often times it doesn’t feel like one. http://thesouthern.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/council-has-started-budget-conversation/article_52ccba12-06ea-51d8-94d6-7e7515b2ff3f.html
