Budget crisis leads to possible restructure of UA system - Matt Buxton, News-Miner

With budget cuts looming, the University of Alaska leadership has approved a preliminary plan to restructure the university system by implementing lead campuses for specific degree programs. UA President Jim Johnsen created the plan, which was unanimously endorsed by the Board of Regents last week, according to a Wednesday announcement.
