St. Cloud State eliminates six athletics programs, cites budget reductions and vision- University Chronicle

St. Cloud State University announced today that they would be eliminating six of their 23 athletics programs, effective at the end of the academic year. The decision was made in response to the university’s Financial Recovery Plan, which addresses budget shortfalls. The St. Cloud State athletics department is anticipating a deficit of $500,000 this fiscal year.
