State’s budget woes mean cuts, changes at Illinois College - Nick Draper, Journal Courier

Illinois College is restructuring or eliminating nine positions at the end of the school year as colleges across Illinois continue to grapple with effects of an ongoing state budget impasse. The state is in its ninth month without a complete budget. That has meant many groups and agencies have not received anticipated money, including higher education grants. Illinois College officials said Thursday that the school will restructure or eliminate the positions after May 31, although the specific positions have not yet been released. The college’s board of trustees said the aim is to provide substitute funds from the college’s budget to provide Monetary Award Program grants promised to students by the state. http://myjournalcourier.com/news/93712/states-budget-woes-mean-cuts-changes-at-illinois-college
