Budget impasse imperils CNA programs - VALERIE WELLS, Herald and Review

The Adult Education Center and its programs are facing an uncertain future due to the lack of a state budget in Illinois. Rocki Wilkerson, director of the adult education department for Decatur schools, said she's worried that this might be the last class of certified nurse assistants for the foreseeable future, unless funding is restored quickly. The state has had no budget this fiscal year, which ends on June 30, but did agree to fund public schools.
