Budget impasse hurting Illinois college enrollment - Brian Boesen, KWQC

Western Illinois University is anticipating freshmen enrollment to be down about 10 percent this fall, due in part to the state’s ongoing budget impasse. “The decline is attributed to some of that fear but it’s hard to say because there are so many other factors in a family’s decision making process,” said Kassie Daly, Associate Director of Admissions for WIU.” The public four-year university is anticipating a fall freshmen class of between 1,300 to 1,400 students. Enrollment in fall of 2015 was 1,535. http://kwqc.com/2016/05/25/budget-impasse-hurting-illinois-college-enrollment/
