Laramie County Community College plans to come out stronger after budget cuts - KGWN

Like all the programs funded by the state, Laramie County Community College is facing some tough budget cuts. President Dr. Joe Schaffer says LCCC may come out of this situation even stronger than before. The college is facing $2.5 million dollars in cuts because of the failing energy industry in Wyoming. The Cuts are for fiscal year 2017-18. Dr. Shaffer says a series of support services and activities are on the line, and the college will look at those closely to identify which ones are critical for the institution's operation. Shaffer also says that classroom sizes should not be affected by these cuts. "You know the hallmark of the community college is really the small classroom size and the faculty to to staff ratio" Schaffer said. http://www.kgwn.tv/content/news/Laramie-County-Community-College-plans-to-come-out-stronger-after-budget-cuts-390635332.html
