Hampton Roads colleges have little to say about governor's announcement of likely budget cuts - Joanne Kimberlin and Patrick Wilson, The Virginian-Pilot

South Hampton Roads colleges said they haven’t figured out how they’ll deal with a request from Gov. Terry McAuliffe that they begin planning for budget cuts to help the state close a revenue shortfall. Public affairs officials for Old Dominion University had no comment. “We just got this information and haven’t developed a detailed strategy yet for how we’re going to deal with the reduction,” said Stevalynn Adams, executive director for communications and marketing at Norfolk State University. “The core enterprise of the university – academics – will be protected to the extent possible, however some reduction in efficiencies and/or improvements will be required.” http://pilotonline.com/news/government/politics/hampton-roads-colleges-have-little-to-say-about-governor-s/article_d1980e82-f4d6-5f8d-a95b-7510901dbf75.html
