LCCC excluded from emergency funds distribution - Brittany Johnson, Alton Telegraph

Lewis and Clark Community College president accepted in stride that the school did not receive immediate state emergency funds from the Illinois Community College Board, which recently approved the distribution of $3 million in such funds. At a Nov. 23 special meeting, the Illinois Board of Higher Education passed the resolution to aid Illinois community colleges in need, after consulting the Illinois Community College Board on financial emergencies. “Our approach is, more so, balanced, which makes us less eligible,” LCCC President Dale Chapman said. “Our total appropriation from the state of Illinois is $6,126,493, exactly.
