Lack of a state budget hurts Richland's bottom line - VALERIE WELLS, Herald and Review

Like other organizations in difficult financial times, Richland Community College has to reduce expenses, and fewer employees have to do more work. Richland announced last week that five positions will be cut, including Lisa Gregory, chief of staff; Doug Brauer, vice president of economic development and innovative workforce solutions; the director of human resources; and two positions in the Duplication Center, which will close this spring. Human resources will migrate to the business office, said Greg Florian, vice president of finance and administration. He will serve as interim director while other staff will cover other duties, such as oversight of benefits.
