Red ink looms for Sault College - Brian Kelly, Sault Star

Sault College faces a budget deficit this year unless the provincial government adjusts how it funds the post-secondary institution. The college is being squeezed by a funding formula better suited to large schools in major urban centres, president Ron Common told the board of governors during a meeting on Thursday. "College presidents are very worried about the province's commitment to the sustainability of college education, particularly in Northern Ontario,” said Common when discussing Fiscal Sustainability of Ontario Colleges.
