College Board Adopts Early Retirement Plan in Face of Uncertain Financial Future - Pat Blair, Sheridan Media

Trustees of the Northern Wyoming Community College District approved an Early Retirement Incentive Program Wednesday night as one way to reduce expenses in the face of an uncertain financial future. College President Dr. Paul Young said the plan, which is a one-time offer, is similar to what's been implemented at four other Wyoming colleges and the University of Wyoming. He said the plan is entirely voluntary for employees, and cost savings are realized because some positions may not be refilled, while others may be filled at a lower cost. Approval of the plan came during a meeting in which trustees also received a preliminary budget report that paints an uncertain future for the year ahead. http://www.sheridanmedia.com/news/college-board-adopts-early-retirement-plan-face-uncertain-financial-future92598
