MSU growing, UM shrinking in latest estimates- Gail Schontzler, Bozeman Daily Chronicle

Budget recommendations going to the Montana Board of Regents this week forecast two more years of growth for Montana State University and two more years of pain for the University of Montana. Enrollment at MSU’s Bozeman campus, already the state’s biggest, is predicted to grow over the next two years by more than 500 students. UM’s Missoula campus is forecast to lose over two years more than 1,100 students. Largely as a result of enrollment trends, MSU’s revenues are predicted to grow by $22 million over the next two years to $236 million a year. UM’s revenue is predicted to shrink by $2.4 million to $143.9 million. http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/news/montana_state_university/msu-growing-um-shrinking-in-latest-estimates/article_2d4dd608-1a28-51e7-82e1-b5b16d0b50e7.html
