Radio station KLCC reaches out to listeners after funding cut by Lane Community College - Dylan Darling, The Register-Guard

As part of its bid to curb spending, financially crunched Lane Community College has canceled its traditional $200,000 annual donation to namesake radio station KLCC for the coming fiscal year. But the downtown Eugene-based public radio station — which is a department of LCC — said it nevertheless plans to preserve its news offerings and program lineup. The cut represents a 10 percent slice of the radio station’s annual $2 million budget. LCC cut the $200,000 from its budget for the fiscal year that starts July 1. The college’s board finalized the budget this month. http://registerguard.com/rg/news/local/35673497-75/radio-station-klcc-reaches-out-to-listeners-after-funding-cut-by-lane-community-college.html.csp
