MSU tapping into reserves to cover $641,000 budget shortfall - Lana Sweeten-Shults, Times Record News

A big cut in state funding for Midwestern State University — about a half million dollars more than expected each year over two years — meant a big challenge in preparing the university's budget for fiscal year 2018. Administrators in May had planned for a reduction in state funding of $1.2 million a year, but MSU came out worse.
