Kutztown University projects dip in enrollment - Beth Brelje, Berks and Beyond

Kutztown University enrollment is down and the school faces a 6.9 million budget shortfall, President Dr. Kenneth S. Hawkinson said in his state of the university Friday morning. But Hawkinson said the university is employing strategies to boost enrollment and strengthen its finances. This year, 8,300 students are projected to attend Kutztown, Hawkinson said. Enrollment peaked in 2010 with 10,707 students and has declined annually since then. http://www.readingeagle.com/news/article/kutztown-university-projects-dip-in-enrollment
