UNL to begin deliberating proposals for budget cuts for fiscal year 2018-19 - Daily Nebraskan
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is in a process to reduce its fiscal year 2018 and 2019 budgets by roughly $8.5 million, according to a Nebraska Today release. In September, Chancellor Ronnie Green presented a general framework and timeline concerning possible budget cuts and reallocations. On Nov. 15, Green will present reduction proposals to the Academic Planning Committee, a university-wide group that creates academic and planning goals for schools in the University of Nebraska system. Green said the university’s budget reduction process would be necessary to address part of the overall expected budget deficit of $17 million.
