Faculty Senate wants admin offices at OU to see same cuts as academic colleges - Conor Morris, Athens News
Ohio University’s Faculty Senate on Monday overwhelmingly approved a resolution asking the university administration for equity in budget cuts that all of the planning units at the university are currently considering during a lean budget year. Specifically, all of OU’s academic colleges have been asked to create a tentative plan to reduce their budgets by 7 percent across the board for the fiscal year starting next July. The resolution approved by Faculty Senate asks that all “non-academic units” across the university be required to also model, at a minimum, a 7 percent budget cut for that year.
