Budget chairman says university funding cuts may be transformational - DON WALTON, Lincoln Journal Star

Sen. John Stinner, chairman of the Legislature's Appropriations Committee, says the state budget reality that lies ahead could have "a transformational impact" on the University of Nebraska. After already absorbing a couple of rounds of budget cuts during the 2017 legislative session, the university now is facing additional proposed appropriations reductions of 2 percent this year and 4 percent next year, Stinner noted.
