Our opinion: Colleges must be a priority for Louisiana - Houma Today

Louisiana is facing yet another financial crisis, just the latest in a series stretching back for years. And, if those past instances were any indication, higher education officials should be bracing for yet another cut. Thanks to bizarre requirements contained in the state’s constitution, two of the few places where cuts can be made in the budget are to health care and higher education. Those causes are truly state priorities that should be protected.
