Budget plan eliminates University College, reduces workforce, gives regional campuses to DELO - Andrew Henderson, WKU Herald

Recommendations from the Budget Council include the elimination of University College, puts WKU's three regional campuses into the hands of the Division of Extended Learning and Outreach and reduces the workforce of the university. "We must consider affordability as we make these decisions, and we also cannot pass these costs on to our students. The Budget Council recommendations protect the core mission of serving students in the classroom and buffer our student retention efforts. Those areas directly responsible for recruiting, retaining and graduating students also will experience minimal reductions," President Timothy Caboni said in the email. Beginning July 1, academic programs in University College, which include programs such as African-American Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies, will go to other colleges. http://wkuherald.com/news/budget-plan-eliminates-university-college-reduces-workforce-gives-regional-campuses/article_fdfb79ec-18ac-11e8-a530-97d500e872b3.html
