University of Idaho considers cutting three sports to stay on budget - Alexa Block, KREM
The University of Idaho may be making some major changes to its sports programs and it could mean the end of several athletic teams. School leaders and state officials met Friday to discuss possible cuts. Losing certain Vandal sports is just one of several scenarios but school leaders said they got to balance the budget somewhere. The University of Idaho is trying to avoid having to cut three teams. In fact, they want to add sports teams. The thing is their looking at about a million-dollar deficit. Which way they choose to go will ultimately depend on a decision by the state Board of Education.
