School leaders and state officials met Friday to discuss possible cuts. Losing certain Vandal sports is just one of several scenarios but school leaders said they got to balance the budget somewhere. The University of Idaho is trying to avoid having to cut three teams. In fact, they want to add sports teams. The thing is their looking at about a million-dollar deficit.
