WKU athletics facing impact of university budget cuts - Dalton Godbey, WBKO
The Western Kentucky athletics department is losing six jobs and $1 million from its budget after the University's multi-million dollar shortfall. Those jobs include two full-time and four part-time positions. This isn't the first time the department has taken a hit. Multiple parts of the budget have been reduced over the course of the past few years. "Up to this point in the cuts, since 2011, we've had over $4 million in reductions," WKU athletic director Todd Stewart said. "So to add over $1 million to that has been very discouraging."
