University of Louisville tuition will increase as schools cut 5% - Morgan Watkins, Louisville Courier Journal

Students' tuition at the University of Louisville will rise again after a year-long freeze on those rates thanks to the school's new budget, which also requires the university's deans to slash their expenses by 5 percent. The board of trustees met Wednesday afternoon and approved a $1.2 billion operating budget, which goes into effect July 1 when fiscal year 2018-19 begins. The majority of the university's general fund revenue will come from tuition and fees, which are expected to bring in over $300 million, as well as around $126 million in funding from the state government. https://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/education/2018/06/20/louisville-students-pay-more-tuition-thanks-new-budget/715990002/
