University of Missouri makes more eligible for layoff help - Roger McKinney, Columbia Tribune

The University of Missouri System Board of Curators on Thursday approved extending layoff assistance to more employees while shrinking the length of time they can receive it. The board also made changes to family sick leave and personal leave policies. Marsha Fischer, UM System chief human resources officer, said the action combines the system’s transition assistance and the layoff policies. It adds non-tenure track faculty and those with non-regular academic appointments who previously weren’t eligible to receive transition assistance. The employees also will be able to receive continued medical coverage for up to six months. http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/20180621/university-of-missouri-makes-more-eligible-for-layoff-help
