You've likely been reading about the problems colleges all over the country are having trying to balance the rising cost of education with the difficult time students and parents are having making the payments. Even state schools in our area are having a tough time paying for their services while trying to keep prices in range for prospective customers. Clinton Community College, North Country Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh are all wrestling with keeping their costs affordable for students. Colleges want to attract and retain their students, and that requires offering programs that are broadly desired.
