University of Montana should downsize administration before cutting academics - LEWIS SCHNELLER, Missoulian

The new cuts to the curriculum will only worsen the enrollment and fiscal challenges confronting the University, making it impossible for some departments to offer legitimate degrees to students. When the administration demands the elimination of star-power faculty members, who attract students to their departments, how can Main Hall expect the affected academic units to survive in any recognizable way? These drastic measures will make it impossible for many programs to recruit any more students, given that it is the nationally recognized programs and faculty who attract and retain students. https://missoulian.com/opinion/columnists/university-of-montana-should-downsize-administration-before-cutting-academics/article_2e8c01c9-9c80-5f68-924a-779cf71fa33c.html
