The dean of CUNY’s School of Medicine has quit over a funding dispute that he contends jeopardizes the longterm health of the program. “I have a profound disagreement with the CUNY administration with regard to the financial matters of the school … that are seriously jeopardizing our ability to grow and to pursue our ultimate goal: full accreditation,” Dr. Maurizio Trevisan wrote in a Feb. 1 email announcing his resignation.
