Scott Galloway, a professor of marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business, published an analysis that might indicate if a school would thrive, survive, struggle or perish this fall. In May, Earlham announced $7.6 million in cuts. As of July 1, 34 positions were eliminated with 27 more "restructured through efficiencies across campus." Two sports were suspended. In the study, Earlham received a "challenged" ranking, along with DePauw University. Ball State University, Indiana University and Purdue University were all ranked as "surviving."
