A report from the West Virginia Office of the Legislative Auditor found serious problems with the budget-making process at Bluefield State College. The report found Bluefield State does not have a "comprehensive formal budget process for its internal institutional budget." The report states the college’s current processes are "inadequate to ensure sound fiscal decision-making," and that information provided to the Legislative Auditor regarding these processes was "so informal that an audit of them could not be performed."
