College of Lake County looking for ways to address $8.7 million deficit without raising tuition - STEVE SADIN, Lake County News-Sun

 As College of Lake County administrators begin developing their budget for the next fiscal year starting July 1, they are looking for ways to eliminate a projected deficit of approximately $8.7 million and avoid a tuition increase. The college’s Board of Trustees supported keeping tuition flat during a virtual meeting of the Committee of the Whole last week, giving the administration guidance to consider the use of reserves if necessary due to uncertainty created by the coronavirus pandemic.
