NMSU finalizes budget cuts resulting in 57 positions being eliminated - Miranda Cyr, Las Cruces Sun-News

 New Mexico State University may have to cut about $11 million for the fiscal year 2021, resulting in 57 positions being eliminated. University administrators — President John Floros, Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance Andy Burke and Vice President for Student Success Renay Scott — laid out the cuts in a virtual town hall Tuesday. The cuts — necessary after the COVID-19 pandemic took a toll on the economy — are less than what was expected months ago, administrators said.
