LITTLE BIG HORN COLLEGE FACES BUDGET CUTS - Brad Carl, KULR8
Little Big Horn College in Crow Agency is bracing itself for a big crunch as the hammer of the sequester comes down. And the resulting across the board cuts of close to $700,000 could mean slashing many student services and staffing positions. The overwhelming majority of students at Little Big Horn College are those from the Crow Nation and surrounding tribes. And keeping costs low is key to making an education possible, something which the sequester cuts now put in jeopardy. Administrators say they aren't sure exactly what the cuts of 10% to the school's budget entail quite yet since details of the sequester cuts are still be finalized. But it could lead to four-day weeks for summer classes and furloughs for half of the college's 75 employees.
