UPDATE: Music, arts degrees will continue at UM, dean says - Stella Sun, ABC Montana
Recently the University of Montana College of Visual and Performing Arts School of Music Director Maxine Ramey said in a public letter posted to social media on Saturday that UM Provost Jon Harbor told her in a meeting that the College of Visual and Performing Arts is facing a significant budget cuts. But, Provost Jon Harbor, says he believes that the arts and music budget will not be slashed as severely as some previously thought. "Please let those you contacted know that the Schools of Art, Music, and Theatre and Dance are in good hands, and that we are excited to continue the impressive growth in majors that we recently experienced."
