Palomar College faculty protest budget cuts - DEBORAH SULLIVAN BRENNAN - North County Times

Palomar college faculty staged a silent vigil Friday just hours before the school's graduation ceremony to acknowledge students who are unable to graduate or transfer because of recent class cuts. "It should be acknowledged that so many students aren't graduating because of cuts, and that their numbers are palpable," said Michael Mufson, a theatre arts teacher and member of the faculty union. Mufson said students often say they're unable to get into classes they need to complete their degree on schedule, but said he didn't know how many students were in that situation.
