Minnesota State-Mankato lays off 12 faculty members - Associated Press

Minnesota State University-Mankato has sent layoff notices to 12 faculty members as part of an effort to trim the school’s budget. Most of the layoff notices went out in May. But one more was issued last week to beat an Aug. 1 union deadline for layoffs coming at the end of the next school year. Four tenured professors received notices while eight notices went to tenure-track faculty.
