New MSU President Faces Tough Budget Decisions - Jeremy Stevens, Ozarks First

Missouri State University's 10th president is now two days into his job. Dr. James Cofer takes over the helm from Dr. Michael T. Nietzel as the university faces deep budget cuts from state appropriations. His first priority is to reach out to people within the institution and figure out a way to maintain the school's academic standards. Dr. Cofer takes over an institution with a $250 million budget and already nearly $8 million has been shaved for Missouri State University's next budget year.
