SCSU's budget outlook grim - Andy Rennecke, St. Cloud Times

St. Cloud State laid out late last week what it thinks is a more accurate explanation of why the school has been facing large deficits in the athletic department. St. Cloud State projects that it is facing a $500,000 shortfall in fiscal year 2010. New data provided to the Times from the university showed that St. Cloud State had a $389,872 deficit for fiscal year 2009. The deficit will continue to grow larger into the future as costs increase.
