Herkimer Co. Legislature adopts $23 million college budget - Rob Juteau, Herkimer Telegram

Herkimer County Community College’s $23,100,621 budget has been adopted. The budget reflects a decrease of 0.9 percent from the previous year and includes a $200 per student increase in tuition for the coming year. The decrease in spending, college officials said previously, was achieved without a decrease in educational programming and services. The adopted budget also incorporates the use of approximately $1 million in fund balance and reflects the loss of $321,062, or 4.6 percent, in state aid in the coming year.
